We are seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Roma, QLD. If you have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities and are flexible with working various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, overnights (minimum 2 per fortnight), and weekends, we would love to hear from you!

In this role you will be based in our SIL home caring for the 3 resident clients, providing daily personal care and managing any complex behaviours. Shifts are Full time hours and are on rotational rosters including Overnight shifts and weekends.

What You'll Do:

Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes, you will support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. Your key duties will include:

  • Helping people achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
  • Assisting with personal care as required, meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connections.
  • Supporting daily activities, such as going for walks, attending movies, or accompanying appointments.

What We Look For:
  • Preferred but not essential: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability).
  • Experience and empathy in providing high-quality support in a SIL environment or with complex disabilities while fostering independence for clients.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Physical capability for manual handling tasks.
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
Required Clearances:

Willing to obtain:

  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work).
  • Open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance.
