Wesley Mission Queensland Limited in Australia is seeking a Disability Support Worker within the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) team. You will deliver person-centred care, support independence, and help residents participate in community activities.

You will be supported by Registered Nurses, receive ongoing training, and work in a values-driven not-for-profit environment that prioritises safety and wellbeing for the people we serve.

Formación

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence with full comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Ability to work across Tewantin and Maroochydore locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the role

Join Wesley Mission Queensland as a Disability Support Worker in our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) team. This is hands‑on, meaningful work where you support vulnerable people with disability to build independence in their everyday lives.

In this role, you will:

• Led by Registered Nurses
• Trained to practice High Intensity Supports (i.e. Dysphasia management, Epilepsy, Tracheostomy).
• Provide personal care and daily living support (meals, hygiene, household tasks)
• Support individuals to build independence and life skills
• Assist with community access and participation
• Work collaboratively with a team to deliver active supports and, person‑centred care

What your day can look like

• Help someone cook their first independent meal
• Support a resident to confidently leave home and access the community
• Deliver responsive support to individuals with complex needs, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
• Build trust through everyday routines, conversations, and shared activities

Permanent DSW Pay Rates:

Mon-Fri (AM shifts): $34.58/hr

Mon-Fri (Afternoon shifts): $38.90/hr

Mon-Fri (Night shifts): $39.77/hr

Saturday: $51.87/hr

Sunday: $69.16/hr

Public Holidays: $86.45/hr

Sleepover allowance: $62.11
