Job summary

GC Professional Support Services Pty Ltd in Queensland seeks a compassionate Casual Disability Support Worker to join our small, dedicated team. You will provide support in SIL residences, assist with daily living activities, and help participants access community activities with sensitivity and respect.

You will help participants develop independence, maintain dignity, and participate in safe, supervised activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability is mandatory.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Willingness to complete required NDIS training and induction.

Responsibilities

• Providing support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) residence.
• Assisting participants with daily living activities and personal care.
• Supporting community access, recreational activities and social outings.
• Transporting and accompanying participants to medical appointments and other commitments.
• Assisting with meal preparation, household duties and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Supporting participants to develop independence and achieve personal goals.
• Completing accurate shift notes and maintaining professional communication with management and colleagues.
• Providing medication assistance or administration where appropriately trained and authorised.

About the Role
