Job summary

Resilience Community Care Pty Ltd in Gladstone QLD is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for permanent part-time roles with guaranteed 24–30 hours per week and a fixed fortnightly roster. You will support people living in SIL homes and promote independence and community inclusion.

Key duties include personal care, medication assistance, meal planning, documentation, and coordinating with families and health professionals.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • National Police Check; Australian Driver Licence with vehicle.
  • Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
  • Experience with medication administration and manual handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and hygiene.
  • Assist with medication administration per participant plans and RCC procedures.
  • Plan and prepare meals; assist with domestic tasks and maintain a safe home.
  • Support participants to attend appointments and access community.
  • Complete shift notes, progress notes and incident reports accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with participants, families, allied health professionals and RCC team.
  • Promote participant rights, dignity, independence and informed choice.

Resilience Community Care is expanding our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services and is seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Permanent Part-Time Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

These positions offer the security of guaranteed 24–30 hours per week, a fixed fortnightly roster, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts where available.

Successful applicants will commence early September 2026, following completion of our recruitment, compliance, and induction process.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred supports to participants living within Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

Working in accordance with the NDIS Practice Standards, participant support plans, behaviour support plans, and Resilience Community Care policies and procedures, you will assist participants to live safely, independently, and with dignity while promoting choice, control, and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
  • Assisting with medication administration in accordance with participant plans and RCC procedures.
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Domestic assistance including cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Supporting participants to attend appointments and access their local community.
  • Supporting participants with complex care needs and behaviours of concern.
  • Safely using mobility and manual handling equipment including hoists, wheelchairs and transfer equipment.
  • Monitoring participant wellbeing and promptly reporting concerns.
  • Completing accurate electronic shift notes, progress notes and incident reports.
  • Working collaboratively with participants, families, allied health professionals and the wider RCC team. and other Service Providers.
  • Promoting participant rights, dignity, independence and informed choice.

About You

Applicants must have:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Disability Services or an equivalent qualification (Minimum Requirement).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
  • Smartphone with internet access.
  • Current legal right to work in Australia.
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Individual Support.
  • Experience supporting participants within Supported Independent Living (SIL).
  • Experience supporting participants with mental health, psychosocial disability, complex care needs or behaviours of concern.
  • Experience with medication administration and manual handling equipment.
Working Hours

Resilience Community Care operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Successful applicants must be available to work across a rotating fortnightly roster which may include:

  • Day shifts
  • Afternoon shifts
  • Active night shifts
  • Public holidays

Additional shifts may be available to employees seeking extra hours.
