Job summary

Kirinari Disability Services in Albury/Wodonga is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team. We provide 24/7 care in SIL/group homes and community-based support, with casual positions offering progression to part-time hours.

You will support daily living tasks, engage clients in the community, assist with personal care, and help clients connect positively to the community. Shifts include weekends and overnights, with generous penalties and induction training.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work shift work including overnights and weekends
• Resilience, independence and ability to work in a team
• Strong communication skills and relationship-building
• Must obtain NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Ability to use computers and learn software/programs
• Own smartphone usage
• Current Australian Driver's Licence

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for daily living activities and personal care
• Assist clients to access and engage with the community
• Support in 24/7 care environments including sleepovers and night shifts
• Work to fit 24/7 rosters, including weekends and holidays
• Progress from casual to part-time opportunities

About the Position

Our DSW's support people in their day-to-day living. We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.

You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs including, domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
Broad availability to provide services in a 24/7 environment, weekend and overnight availability is a must (generous penalties apply).
We currently have several Casual positions on offer with opportunity to progress to Part-Time hours.

About You:

• Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights,
  weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
• Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
