Job summary

Independent Living Victoria is seeking Disability Support Workers across multiple Melbourne locations to join a growing team providing dedicated one-on-one support to participants with varying needs.

Successful candidates will have a qualification in Disability Support or related fields, a valid drivers licence, and be able to travel between sites. ILV offers extensive training, ongoing support, and varied shift patterns to match client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Behaviours of Concern and complex support needs.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have regular access to a vehicle.
• Available to provide two professional references from the industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to participants.
• Assist participants with community access and transport.
• Participate in induction and ongoing training.

Disability Support Workers – Multiple Locations & Specialisations

Independent Living Victoria is currently seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across multiple locations in Melbourne.

We have a range of rewarding opportunities supporting participants with varying levels of complexity, including high-intensity and behavioural support needs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• MUST HAVE experience with Behaviours of Concern (complex, extensive BSP, restrictive practices etc.)
• Experience with transporting clients in your own vehicle for community access
• General individual support as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ACCREDITATIONS

• A valid Australian Drivers Licence and regular access to a vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.
• A qualification in Disability Support, Individual Support, Aged Care or Nursing.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• The legal right to work in Australia.
• A current Police Check (within 3 years).
• A current First Aid & CPR certificate (First Aid within 3 years, CPR within 1 year).
• A currently Manual Handling certificate (within 1 year).
• Various other certificates relating to Infection Prevention and NDIS modules
• Ability to provide 2 professional references from this industry.
