Job summary

Sirv is seeking compassionate Disability Support Specialists to join our Logan area team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, promote independence, and help with community access while upholding dignity and respect.

The role requires hands-on care, strong communication, and a commitment to person-centered support. We offer ongoing training and career progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Certificate III (or above) in Disability Support or related field.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Framework and Practice Standards.
  • Understanding of disability rights and advocacy.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (Mandatory).
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (Mandatory).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Mandatory).
  • Working With Children Check (Mandatory).
  • Valid rights to work in Australia (Mandatory).

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Support mobility, transportation, and community access.
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
  • Assist with meal preparation and household tasks.
  • Develop and follow individualized support and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence and community participation.
