Job summary

121 Supports Hunter PTY LTD in Newcastle NSW is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team, providing SIL and community-based support. You will help participants build independence, manage daily living tasks, and follow person-centred care plans in a respectful, calm environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable and able to handle challenging behaviours with trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support within SIL environments.
• Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours.
• Understanding of psychosocial disability and trauma-informed support.
• Ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans and implement positive behaviour support strategies.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Reliable, professional and team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with psychosocial, behavioural, and daily living needs, promoting independence and positive outcomes.
• Provide SIL home supports and community access and engagement.
• Support with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans and implement positive behaviour support strategies.
