Job summary

Help at Hand Support Services in Brisbane is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of people with a disability. You will provide person-centred support, with varied days—from accompanying clients to activities to assisting with medical appointments—requiring empathy, reliability and strong communication.

A current police check, First aid/CPR, Certificate III in Disability or equivalent, a driver’s license and vehicle are

Qualifications

• Must have own fully insured vehicle.
• Police check (within 6 months) or international police check.
• Certificate III in Disability or equivalent experience.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• First aid/CPR certificates (current).
• Full and clean Australian driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support for people with a disability.
• Assist clients with daily activities and accompany them on outings or appointments.
• Maintain safety and well-being of clients throughout care.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team.
• Be punctual, flexible and reliable in shift patterns.
