Job summary

The University of Sydney is offering a Full-time Continuing opportunity as Centre Manager at the Camperdown Campus. You will provide operational leadership for the Centre for Disability Research and Policy to advance its research and impact across Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

Key responsibilities include budgeting, strategic direction, stakeholder engagement, and governance, ensuring accessibility standards are met while supporting the School and Faculty's research agenda.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in disability field with research management experience.
• Understanding of Australian disability policy landscape and co-design principles; lived experience is valued.
• Operational/administrative leadership with ability to translate strategy into initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication; adept at negotiation and discretion.
• Experience with budgets, income, and expenditure management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Centre Director and senior academic leaders to lead the Centre.
• Contribute to business planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Drive process improvement and manage workforce and operational resources with accessibility in mind.
• Deliver budget and financial management, and coordinate with FMH Finance.
• Provide strategic direction to ensure programs meet aims and objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee governance and compliance including committees, reporting and communications.
