Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking an Education Support - Disability Inclusion Coordinator to support students with additional needs at Keilor Downs College in Melbourne. You will work within the Inclusion Team to coordinate disability inclusion processes and liaise with families, staff and external agencies.

The role requires strong organisational skills, effective communication and a commitment to professional learning in Disability Inclusion, with responsibilities including

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting students with additional needs and Disability Inclusion processes.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning in Disability Inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with students, staff and the broader college community.
• Prioritize and manage work demands.
• Communicate effectively with a range of people.
• Work as part of the Inclusion team to ensure objectives are met.
• Schedule Student Support Groups (SSGs) and Disability Inclusion Profiles (DIPs).
• Register student information and upload supporting documentation.
• Liaise with families, staff and external professionals to facilitate outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with the Inclusion Team to support transitions, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
