Overview

Client: Our client is a leading Australian enterprise seeking a Director, Workforce Transformation on a contract basis to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide workforce strategies that enable growth, innovation, and adaptability.

This is a high-impact leadership role working within a forward-thinking People & Culture team, reporting to the Senior Director, People Transformation. The successful candidate will partner with senior executives to drive workforce efficiencies, implement fit-for-purpose organisational structures, and uplift workforce capability, ensuring the business is ready to thrive in an AI-enabled, digital-first world.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Enterprise Workforce Transformation: Design and deliver holistic workforce strategies to support long-term business growth and digital transformation.
  • Drive Organisational Design & Operating Models: Partner with executives to reshape structures and operating models for optimal performance.
  • Champion Strategic Workforce Planning: Align talent and capability needs with future business objectives.
  • Enable Leadership & Capability Development: Mentor, coach, and uplift consulting and change capability within the People & Culture function.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, acting as a key advisor and change enabler.
  • Future-Fit Capability Building: Identify emerging skills, integrate AI and digital solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Measure Impact: Define and track success metrics related to capability, efficiency, and transformation outcomes.
The successful candidate
  • Proven experience leading large-scale workforce or organisational transformation programs.
  • Deep expertise in organisational design, workforce strategy, and change leadership.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence and partner with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Passion for enabling people and performance through data, AI, and technology-driven approaches.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Experience uplifting internal consulting skills and building team capability.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity with confidence.
