Job summary

Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW is seeking a visionary Head of Workforce Training Innovation & Excellence to guide HLT and SIS training streams within our RTO and Aboriginal Health College. You will lead training teams, ensure quality delivery, assessment, learner progression and ASQA compliance while championing culturally responsive training models across the sector.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in workforce training or education management.
• Experience leading VET delivery teams and training operations.
• Proven ability to implement Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS) and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in ASQA-regulated RTO environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead HLT and SIS training streams, ensuring quality delivery and ASQA compliance.
• Oversee training teams, scheduling, staffing and resource management.
• Drive trainer development and continuous improvement in training models.
• Monitor learner progression, support, and retention with culturally safe practices.
• Oversee work placement planning, industry engagement and partnerships.
• Report on learner outcomes and performance, and ensure audit readiness and funding compliance.
• Lead workforce capability initiatives and succession planning.
