Job summary

Scyne Advisory is expanding its Strategy and Performance Improvement team. We seek an experienced director-level consultant with strong strategic, commercial and financial acumen across sectors.

You’ll lead engagements from operating model reviews to delivering financial performance improvements, working with senior executives and shaping client outcomes. You will drive value through strategic analysis, business cases and practical roadmaps, while partnering with leadership on business

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in organisational strategy, financial advisory, or transformation engagements.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships.
  • Strong financial analysis and business case modelling skills including revenue, cost, productivity and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements across strategy, operating model design and financial performance improvement.
  • Develop and deliver strategic operating models and credible business cases.
  • Define strategic vision with senior leaders and translate into plans.

We deliver enhanced commercial outcomes, optimise cost structures and balance sheets, and ensure sustainable value creation through strategic insight and rigorous financial analysis. Leveraging deep industry insight, we work senior executives to build confidence in decisions that strengthen their financial performance and sustainability.


Job Description

The Opportunity

Our Strategy and Performance Improvement team is growing, we are seeking an experienced consulting professionals at the Director level, bringing strategy and performance improvement expertise. The successful candidate should be someone who brings strong strategic, commercial and financial acumen, who is comfortable across multiple sectors, and ready to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team to grow the business and deliver value for clients.


As a Director, You Will Lead Teams And Collaborate With Clients Across a Range Of Industries To Develop And Deliver Impactful Engagements From Strategic Operating Model Reviews Through To Delivery Of Operational And Financial Performance Improvement Solutions, Including



  • Performance Optimisation & Value Creation:Identify, quantify, and present revenue uplift, cost reduction, productivity, and margin improvement opportunities, and translating them into robust business cases.

  • Strategy Development:Collaborate with senior executive leaders to define an organisation’s strategic vision and direction and develop the strategic plan to achieve it.

  • Target Operating Model Design:Design future-state operating models aligned to strategy, covering organisation, processes, governance, and service delivery.

  • Implementation & Benefits Realisation:Develop practical implementation roadmaps, track financial benefits, and support execution of Financial and Performance Optimisation changes for clients.

  • Business Development:Work with our leadership to grow the practice by contributing to business development, proposals and practice initiatives.

  • Engage with Stakeholders: Work collaboratively with stakeholders which may include senior Federal/State leaders to design and deliver workshops, presentations, and reports.

  • Learn and Grow: Work closely with senior colleagues to deepen your consulting skills, industry knowledge, and professional confidence.


Qualifications

You bring a combination of:



  • Significant experience within a Tier 1, boutique or mid-tier consulting practice in organisational strategy, financial advisory, or transformation roles – specifically strategy, target operating model design and financial performance improvement engagements.

  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses, rigorous analysis and actionable recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements and manage senior client relationships.

  • Strong financial analysis and business case modelling skills, including revenue, cost, productivity, and benefits realisation.

  • Experience assessing and redesigning operating models, covering organisation structure, processes, governance, and service delivery.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate insights into compelling executive narratives that influence critical decisions.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and change-driven environments.

  • Capable of leading proposals and business development initiatives, identifying new engagement opportunities, nurturing client relationships and thought leadership pieces.

  • Ability to coach and develop more junior staff.
