Job summary

Department of Education Victoria seeks a Director, Establishment, Enrolment and Partnerships to lead the SPED branch in delivering strategic education infrastructure planning and school establishment.

Based in East Melbourne, you will oversee new school establishment, enrolment policy, school reorganisations and place-based partnerships, working with regional offices and external stakeholders to improve education provision and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Victorian Public Sector Values are expected and demonstrated.
• Leadership and People Management capabilities are required.
• Strong conceptual and analytical ability for policy advice.
• Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Results orientation with strategic planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the branch to deliver high-quality analysis and timely advice to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Develop governance processes to oversee key deliverables and oversight.
• Build effective relationships across the department and external partners to drive outcomes.
• Contribute to planning, HR, procurement, resourcing and financial functions and foster a positive team culture.
• Support across teams during peak periods to meet objectives.
