As an adviser to the Executive Team and Board Committees, you will shape reward strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent while ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislation.

This position will suit a leader who is as comfortable at the board table as they are refining payroll processes. A rare mix of strategic thinking, governance and operational delivery. You will lead a high-performing team, partner with key functions across the business, and drive continuous improvement in our reward and payroll practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and govern Aspen Medical’s remuneration and benefits frameworks, including executive remuneration, incentive programs, and recognition schemes.
  • Lead the annual remuneration review process, supported by robust benchmarking and pay equity analysis.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across Australia (and selected regions), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Drive enhancements to payroll systems, processes, and vendor management for sustainable improvement.
  • Provide strategic reporting, insights, and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board Committees.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of specialists while fostering collaboration across HR, Finance, Legal, and Risk.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a senior remuneration and/or payroll leadership role within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian legislation covering remuneration, superannuation, payroll tax, leave accruals, and industrial instruments (e.g. Modern Awards, enterprise agreements).
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing remuneration frameworks and employee benefits programs.
  • Strong payroll governance, compliance, and operational delivery experience, with proven ability to uplift systems and processes.
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience preparing reports and papers for executives and boards.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • High level of integrity with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Finance, or Business.
