Job summary

Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools in Toowoomba, Queensland, seeks a Middle Leader – Director Professional Capacity for St Mary's College. This full‑time, fixed‑term appointment runs 18 January 2027 to 20 January 2030, with an underpinning permanent teaching appointment.

Salary range A$110,237–A$148,360 per year plus super. The appointee will support the Principal in Spiritual, Educational, Community and Administrative Leadership, lead professional practice, mentoring and capacity-building

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading, planning and managing the implementation of College-wide professional learning and capacity-building initiatives that enhance teaching practice, support leadership development and improve student outcomes.
• Passionate about co-creating a nurturing school environment.
• Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of professional practice of teachers at St Mary's College.
• Play a vital role in the induction, mentoring and professional development.
• Modelling best practice in planning, teaching, assessment and reporting.
• Supporting and promoting the ideals of Catholic education, Edmund Rice charism, the Catholic Church and the College's vision, mission and values.
