About the Opportunity

We currently have a 12-month parental leave cover for a Director Partnerships to join our Effective Philanthropy enabler. You will hold a key role in leading the team’s overall strategy to design, implement and advance the Partnerships and Grants. Your work will be focussed on developing sustainable change in support of Minderoo’s ambition to work ‘’for a fairer future’’.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Enabler, your day to day will include:

  • Leading the mixed core/ embedded team responsible for designing executing and managing partnerships, in close collaboration with Focus Area leadership.

  • Through research and networking, identify emerging opportunities to build a pipeline of aligned partnerships across government, private, philanthropic foundations, corporate and multilateral partners.

  • Defining strategy and approach to sector capability uplift.

  • Representing Minderoo at all levels internally an externally at events and conferences, both global and national.

  • Acting as the point of escalation for challenging/ significant partnerships.

About You

Your wealth of experience in partnerships, grants, effective philanthropy or similar subject matter is crucial to your success. In addition, you will hold strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to bring people together and inspire team members.

In addition, you will have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with previous experience solving complex social, economic and environmental problems to help influence change.

  • Expertise in system thinking, strategy development, project management, and program development.

  • Risk identification and management capability to mitigate impacts on the successful implementation of the chosen strategy.
