Job summary

Albany Creek State High School is seeking a Head of Department - Student Services to lead the Learning Connections team, coordinate inclusive education practices, and ensure compliance with disability and student support requirements.

The role includes translating strategic priorities into effective systems and providing specialist complex case management for students with highly significant needs, coordinating with staff, year levels, and external services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of whole-school inclusive education practices.
• Provide leadership and line management to Learning Connections staff.
• Develop and review systems for equitable access and educational adjustments.
• Support NCCD processes with quality assurance and moderation.
• Monitor Learning Connections programs using data for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to reflect Inclusion priorities in planning.
• Promote inclusion culture and high expectations for all students.
