Description du poste

Silverchain Group is one of Australia's leading home care specialists, providing health and aged care services to 140,000 clients a year. We have been trusted by Australians to deliver care that is differentiated by quality and safety for over 130 years.

Silverchain provides home care services in all states of Australia, and the ACT in partnership with our clients, as well as governments, health networks, hospitals, retirement communities, and private companies. We employ nurses, doctors, allied health, care workers, and a dedicated research and innovation division.

The Director Strategic Partnerships is responsible for leading enterprise-level strategic partnerships across Silverchain’s material, government, strategic and high-impact commercial arrangements as confirmed by the Group Executive and notified from time to time. The role focuses on whole-of-organisation contract value, risk, obligations, relationship settings and partnership outcomes, ensuring major agreements are managed with clear ownership, practical governance and visible executive-level decision points.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the role works across Commercial, Finance, Operations, Legal, Risk, Procurement, Data Analytics and state leadership teams to ensure strategic contracts are understood beyond their local operational impact. It connects contract obligations, funding settings, service performance, partner expectations and organisational risk so leaders can make informed decisions before issues affect clients, services, revenue or reputation.

What's on offer
  • Full-time permanent position, Monday–Friday 76 hours per fortnight.
  • Hybrid role based in WA, SA, VIC, QLD or NSW.
  • Working for a non-profit organisation, you can salary package up to $18,500 tax free.
  • Everyday discounts, including vouchers for Coles, Woolworths, Amazon, Myer, The Good Guys and more.
  • Comprehensive health and wellbeing resources and support.
What we're looking for
  • Senior leadership experience in strategic partnerships, contract management, commercial management, government relations, procurement, finance, health, aged care or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Procurement, Contract Management, Health Administration, Public Policy or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading strategic contracts, material agreements or partner relationships with enterprise-level operational, financial, legal or reputational impact.
  • Strong commercial and organisational judgement, including the ability to assess contract obligations, funding arrangements, service dependencies, stakeholder expectations, risks and decision points.
  • Experience developing governance disciplines, relationship plans, executive reporting, obligations tracking, review schedules, issue registers and escalation pathways for major contracts or partnerships.
  • Ability to prepare executive-level briefings, options papers, reports and recommendations that present complex information clearly and support timely decisions.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management and negotiation skills, including the ability to work with senior internal leaders and external partners while maintaining clear governance boundaries.
  • Experience working with Finance, Legal, Risk, Procurement, Data Analytics, Operations and executive stakeholders in a large or multi-site organisation.
  • Exposure to health, aged care, community services, government-funded services or other regulated service environments is desirable.
  • People leadership experience is desirable, particularly where the role has responsibility for specialist contract, commercial, partnership or performance resources.
The role

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships you will:

  • Lead Silverchain’s enterprise approach to strategic partnership and strategic contract support, with a focus on whole-of-organisation impact, executive visibility and disciplined follow-through.
  • Provide senior advice to the Chief Commercial Officer and executive leaders on strategic contracts, government and partner relationships, partnership health, commercial risk, funding implications and organisational decision points.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level partnership plans for material and strategic contracts, including relationship objectives, governance forums, obligations, review points, risk positions, escalation pathways and renewal considerations.
  • Support the end-to-end management of strategic contracts across commencement, mobilisation, performance review, obligation tracking, variations, extensions, renewals and close-out, ensuring organisational accountabilities are clear.
  • Identify contract risks, service dependencies, funding conditions, partner expectations and commercial matters that require coordinated action across functions or escalation to senior decision-makers.
  • Work with Finance, Data Analytics and operational leaders to interpret contract performance, revenue, cost, margin, quality, service and utilisation information, and convert findings into practical actions.
  • Coordinate executive-level reporting on strategic partnership performance, material obligations, risks, opportunities, upcoming reviews, renewal pathways and progress against agreed actions.
  • Build senior-level relationships with strategic partners, government stakeholders and material contracting parties, while maintaining a clear view of Silverchain’s commercial, operational and reputational interests.
  • Work with Legal, Risk, Procurement and Finance to ensure strategic contract activity is undertaken in line with delegations, policy requirements, governance standards and agreed risk positions.
  • Lead direct reports and specialist resources as required, setting clear expectations for contract analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement, governance support and issue.
