Job summary

Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Director (Infrastructure and Assets) to provide strategic leadership for the delivery of infrastructure and asset management across Mackay Base Hospital and related facilities. The role oversees building, engineering and maintenance, medical equipment, capital works projects and property management to support health service delivery.

• Provide strategic leadership for the delivery of Mackay Hospital and Health Service infrastructure and asset management services including building, engineering and maintenance, medical equipment, capital works projects, and property management to ensure compliance with policy and effectively support health service delivery.
• The unit provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment across the whole of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, ensuring that all works are strategically aligned, scoped effectively, and executed to meet operational, clinical, and infrastructure needs.

The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Director (Infrastructure and Assets) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Provide strategic leadership for the delivery of Mackay Hospital and Health Service infrastructure and asset management services including building, engineering and maintenance, medical equipment, capital works projects, and property management to ensure compliance with policy and effectively support health service delivery.

The unit provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment across the whole of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, ensuring that all works are strategically aligned, scoped effectively, and executed to meet operational, clinical, and infrastructure needs.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,500 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
