Job summary

The Department of Treasury and Finance, including the Office of the Chief Information Officer, is seeking an Assistant Director to lead digital strategy and architecture across SA Government. You will shape enterprise technology direction and drive critical infrastructure and governance initiatives.

The role requires delivering strategic advice to executives, engaging with agencies, vendors and stakeholders, and guiding cross-government technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and reviewing technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Ability to implement architecture frameworks to prioritise programs and investments.
• Proven experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders to shape delivery.
• Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and organisational change.
• Ability to provide strategic advice to executives on technology strategy and investment.

Responsibilities

• Shape whole-of-government technology strategies and roadmaps that support public service delivery.
• Lead architecture, platform governance and government technology strategy teams.
• Influence major ICT initiatives by maintaining an enterprise-wide view of technology services and future capability needs.
• Collaborate with agencies to translate business requirements into strategic technology outcomes.
• Engage with vendors and industry experts to identify trends and inform future technology direction.
• Provide leadership and oversight of technology services to support quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
