Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Director for the Dee Why Children’s Centre in Dee Why, NSW, for a temporary full‑time parental leave cover. The role oversees program quality and staff, ensuring high standards of early learning and development for children.

The Director will lead a team across the centre, aligning practice with the Early Years Learning Framework. The position is based at Dee Why and offers a supportive, values-driven workplace with opportunities to collaborate with families

• Develop, plan, and implement a quality program that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Contribute to the delivery of Early learning Services by supporting colleagues and working collaboratively.
• Create a stimulating environment to foster children's development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, educators and the community.

Job description

Title: Director, Dee Why Children's Centre,Temporary - Full-time Role, (Parental leave cover) 35hours per week

Salary Range: $126,033.93 to $146,472.89 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience) (in accordance with the Local Government Award). Northern Beaches Council has successfully secured Retention Grant funding to support wage increases for eligible early childhood education positions. For the duration of thus funding, the adjusted salary range will be $138649.63 to $159524.98
