Job summary

City of South Perth is seeking an experienced executive to lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans aligned with Council directions. The role provides corporate services oversight and drives innovation and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Strong leadership skills to manage multi-disciplinary teams and foster a values based organisational culture.
• Extensive experience leading and managing corporate service functions within a large complex operating environment.
• Experienced and highly proficient in strategic analysis and problem solving for consistent and effective evidence-based decision making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships and effectively manage change.
• Commitment to and skills in driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
• Current National Police Clearance.

About the Position
As a member of the City's Executive Management Team, this position leads the development and execution of strategic and operational plans aligned with Council's strategic direction and vision. This position provides strategic and advisory support in key areas of corporate services and responds flexibly to ongoing change and business needs with a focus on innovation, improvement and achieving high-quality outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and inspire multi-disciplinary teams and foster a values based organisational culture.
• Extensive experience leading and managing corporate service functions within a large complex operating environment.
• Experienced and highly proficient in strategic analysis and problem solving for consistent and effective evidence-based decision making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships and effectively manage change.
• Commitment to and skills in driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
