Director, Cloud Platform

Slalom is looking for a Cloud Director to join our team. Our Cloud team perform a range of activities from delivering agentic solutions to migrating a customers workloads to Cloud or building secure Cloud platforms that enable our application and data engineers to unveil their products to the world.

What You will Do

You will lead all aspects of the Technical Cloud Delivery team in Australia. Success in this role requires building and leading strong teams, fostering trusted relationships with Slalom and client leaders, and bringing deep expertise and curiosity across cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, and security.

Specifically, you will:

• Act as a senior delivery lead for large scale, multi-functional teams creating purpose-built platforms for our clients.
• Lead Cloud Delivery solving technical problems for customers and showcasing your technical and consulting skills.
• Play an engagement leadership role to ensure Slalom drivers fabulous customer outcomes.
• Be a mentor and are comfortable providing coaching and people leadership to individual contributors and leaders alike. Not just source talent but grow it within the capability.
• Support sales pursuits for modern engineering projects.
• Conduct technical and behavioural interviews for future Slalom team members.
• Be a capability leader, comfortable running events and initiatives within Slalom, and in our go-to-market strategies.
• Help grow our culture of learning by taking part in and coordinating opportunities such as presenting at technical conferences, community groups, writing blog articles, and contributing to partner-coordinated workshops.
• Continually develop your skills as the industry evolves and support the ongoing learning of the team
• Lead delivery teams skills as we continue to evolve our AI engineering practices and tools

What You Will Bring

• You will bring a proven track record in building and deploying highly scalable public cloud-based solutions using modern AI Engineering and DevSecOps techniques
• You will also showcase your experience in all phases of product development, software development and testing lifecycles regardless of cloud platform.
• You will leverage experience in established technology and product departments with mature program management processes and standards for both Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, and Lean) and waterfall project methodologies.
• Support sales pursuits and drive business operations.
• Your experience in people management will enable you to successfully lead a large team, recruit and retain top talent, and foster a culture of inclusiveness. Stitching together your leadership capabilities, your client presence, and business insight will ensure your success in managing large projects and programs.
