Job summary

Slalom Build is seeking a Cloud Director in Australia to lead delivery of large-scale cloud platforms and AI-enabled solutions for clients. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and shape delivery strategy across modern engineering practices.

You will mentor engineers, support sales initiatives, and contribute to capability development while advancing Slalom's cloud DNA across projects and partnerships.

Qualifications

Slalom is looking for a Cloud Director to join our team. Our Cloud team performs a range of activities from delivering agentic solutions to migrating a customer’s workloads to Cloud or building secure Cloud platforms that enable our application and data engineers to unveil their products to the world.

What you will do

• Act as a senior delivery lead for large scale, multi-functional teams creating purpose-built platforms for our clients.
• Play an engagement management role for projects and manage team performance, budgeting, and client satisfaction.
• Support, mentor, and coach as a People Leader of individual contributor engineers.
• Support sales pursuits for modern engineering projects.
• Lead Cloud Delivery projects showcasing your technical and consulting skills.
• Conduct technical and behavioral interviews for future Slalom team members.
• Be a capability leader, comfortable running events and initiatives within Slalom, and in our go-to-market strategies.
• Help grow our culture of learning by taking part in and coordinating opportunities such as presenting at technical conferences, community groups, writing blog articles, and contributing to partner‑coordinated workshops.
• Continually develop your skills as the industry evolves and support the ongoing learning of the team.
• Lead delivery team skills as we continue to evolve our AI engineering practices and tools.

What you will bring

• A proven track record in building and deploying highly scalable public cloud‑based solutions using modern AI Engineering and DevSecOps techniques.
• Experience in all phases of product development, software development and testing lifecycles, regardless of cloud platform.
• Leverage experience in established technology and product departments with mature program management processes and standards for both Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, Lean) and waterfall project methodologies.
• Support sales pursuits and drive business operations.
• People‑management experience that enables you to successfully lead a large team, recruit and retain top talent, and foster a culture of inclusiveness. Stitching together your leadership capabilities, your client presence, and business insight will ensure your success in managing large projects and programs.
