Job summary

Optus is seeking a Director, AI Productivity & Engineering Governance to lead AI-infused engineering governance across our Software Engineering Centre of Excellence. This hands-on leadership role partners with executives to drive automation, efficiency, and measurable outcomes for delivery to customers.

You'll guide cross-domain policies, define what great AI-augmented engineering looks like, and lead a senior team responsible for outcomes across AI Efficiency and Engineering Governance

Qualifications

Senior engineer background or engineering management with hands-on production code experience.
Experience with AI development tools and deploying AI in production.
Ability to define and implement engineering policies for AI-enabled delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead AI-infused automations that perform engineering work, including agents and pipelines.
Define what great AI-augmented engineering looks like and drive adoption across delivery.
Guide cross-domain engineering policies, security telemetry, observability, and audit posture.
Lead a senior team accountable for outcomes across AI Efficiency and Engineering Governance.
