Colonial First State Investments Limited is seeking a Director AI Controls Engineering Lead to translate governance, risk and policy requirements into scalable controls and enterprise platforms. You will bridge governance and engineering, enabling safe, scalable AI adoption across the organisation.

You will design, build and operate the central control plane, establish monitoring and assurance capabilities, and partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Data Science to deliver trusted AI across

Qualifications

• Solid experience in AI governance, risk and policy in large enterprises.
• Proven ability to design, build and operate AI control platforms and monitoring frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AI lifecycle, governance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of the enterprise AI control plane with policy enforcement and guardrails.
• Establish observability, monitoring and telemetry for model performance and risk indicators.
• Build AI evaluation, testing and assurance platforms including explainability and fairness.
• Ensure third- and fourth-party AI oversight and monitor dependencies and resilience.
• Provide sharing capabilities for monitoring, reporting and evidence generation across AI solutions.
• Define reusable control patterns, reference architectures and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Science and Architecture teams to translate governance into controls.
• Enable federated teams with shared platforms and guardrails to reduce duplication and improve consistency.
