Job summary

South Regional TAFE is seeking an experienced leader to join the executive leadership team as Director Academic Quality and Development. This role leads academic quality, governance, and regulatory assurance across the College, shaping strategies to strengthen teaching practice and workforce capability.

Reporting to the Executive Director Capability and Partnerships, you will guide the Principal Lecturer team and specialist quality functions, providing strategic leadership on risk and regulatory

Qualifications

• Seasoned leader with expertise in academic quality and governance.
• Deep knowledge of the 2025 Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and regulatory assurance.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead academic quality, governance, regulatory assurance and improvement.
• Safeguard RTO registration and scope per 2025 Standards.
• Shape strategies to strengthen teaching practice and workforce capability.
• Lead Principal Lecturer team and quality functions.
• Provide high-level advice on academic quality and risk.
• Drive quality improvement, audits and regulatory change.
• Build relationships with regulators and sector partners.
