Job summary

South Regional TAFE seeks an experienced Director Academic Quality and Development to join the executive leadership team. This role leads academic quality, governance, regulatory assurance and workforce development across the College.

Reporting to the Executive Director Capability and Partnerships, you will guide the Principal Lecturer team and specialist quality functions to strengthen teaching practice and academic capability across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading academic quality, strategy and organisational improvement.
• Strong knowledge of RTO standards and regulatory assurance.
• Ability to lead professional teams and build academic capability.
• Excellent judgment, communication and influencing at governance level.
• Experience within VET or higher education environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead academic quality, governance, regulatory assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safeguard RTO registration and scope under 2025 Standards.
• Shape strategies to strengthen teaching practice and staff capability.
• Lead Principal Lecturer team and specialist quality functions.
• Provide high-level advice on academic quality, risk and regulatory matters.
• Drive key quality improvement, audit and organisational change initiatives.
• Build relationships with regulators, government and sector partners.
