Hannover Re Australia seeks a Direct Product Analyst to join our Life & Health subsidiary in Sydney. You will support the Head of Direct Product & Pricing, monitor and report on existing products, and assist in developing new solutions while ensuring regulatory obligations are met.

Responsibilities include product monitoring, compliance tracking (DDO), and collaborating with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to enhance processes and onboarding of new products.

Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
• Actuarial Studies degree preferred or FIAA progression.
• DDO experience preferred.
• Advanced MS Office skills including Excel.
• Experience with analytical, productivity and AI tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, R, Copilot).
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage client relationships and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and launch new product solutions.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Direct Product Analyst to join our Life & Health Subsidiary in Sydney.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Head of Direct Product & Pricing permanent role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Product & Pricing and the Direct Business Development Team with the ongoing monitoring, reporting and management of existing products, including the associated regulatory and compliance obligations (in particular, the Design & Distribution Obligations). This position will also be involved in the development of new product solutions in the Direct Business.

• Supporting the ongoing monitoring, reporting and management of Direct insurance products.
• Monitoring product compliance requirements, including Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), across new and existing products.
• Supporting product reviews and the implementation of regulatory changes impacting Direct products.
• Developing and maintaining product guidelines, processes and procedures.
• Reviewing and enhancing product team processes and reporting frameworks.
• Supporting the onboarding of new products through the established onboarding framework.
• Managing client relationships and responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and launch new product solutions.
• Working closely with teams across Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
• Contributing to a culture of strong risk management, governance and compliance.

You come equipped with

• At least 3 years' experience in the life insurance industry.
• A degree in Actuarial Studies (preferred but not essential) and progress towards FIAA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, analytical, productivity and AI-enabled tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, R and Copilot.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• The ability to recognise when issues should be escalated and involve others where required.
• Strategic thinking skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
