Looking for consistent part-time hours, paid travel time between clients and meaningful one-to-one work?

As a Direct Care Worker with Jewish Care Victoria, you will provide personalised support that helps people remain independent in their own homes while making a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

We are seeking Direct Care Workers who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule, working the same agreed days and times each week.Your set rostered hours include paid travel time between clients.

You will help clients maintain their independence by providing personal care, preparing meals, completing general household cleaning, assisting with shopping and providing transport to appointments.

• Permanent part-time role, with up to 38 hours per week
• Provide personalised, one-to-one support in clients homes
• Travel locally between clients (driver’s licence and reliable vehicle required)
• Work across Elsternwick, Caulfield, Bentleigh, Carnegie and Port Phillip

You will be a great fit if you have:

• A warm, personable approach, genuine respect for cultural diversity and the ability to build trusting relationships
• The ability to monitor client wellbeing and respond promptly in emergencies to help ensure safety
• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Aged Care)
• A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Availability to work consistent shifts across 1–4 days per week, Monday to Sunday, for up to 22 hours per week
• Russian, Polish, Hebrew or Yiddish language skills are desirable but not essential
