Qualifications

• Diploma qualification recognised by ACECQA.
• Blue Card Working with Children Check in Queensland.
• First Aid and CPR certification must be current.
• Knowledge of NQF, EYLF and Queensland legislation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player, self-motivated and organised.
• Experience in childcare or education settings preferred.
• Flexible for part-time work to support service needs.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified Diploma Qualified Educators to join our team at our Rural View Centre in QLD 4740. This is a part-time position offering flexibility for educators who wish to balance work with other commitments. As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering quality early childhood education and care services to children and families in our community. Your expertise and passion will directly contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports children's wellbeing and educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Plan, implement and evaluate educational activities and experiences that promote children's learning, development and wellbeing across all developmental domains

Provide direct supervision and care to children in accordance with legislative requirements, duty of care obligations and our service policies

Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of children's progress, observations and developmental milestones

Support children with diverse needs, including those with additional support requirements or cultural backgrounds

Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organised learning environment that meets health, safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with educators and management to continuously improve service quality and practice

Engage with families through regular communication, feedback and involvement in their child's learning journey

Contribute to team meetings, professional development activities and compliance with regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

A completed Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)

Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) in Queensland

Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to childcare settings

Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Queensland childcare legislation and standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members

A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's holistic development

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also being self‑motivated and organised

Experience working in childcare or educational settings is highly valued

A flexible approach to part‑time work and willingness to support the operational needs of the service
