  • Customer engagement and research: Engage regularly with customers, plan and conduct research, and use customer feedback and data to understand needs and inform product decisions.
  • Commercial and market awareness: Maintain an understanding of customer buying behaviour, competitors, channels to market and commercial performance, and apply this knowledge to product planning and decision-making.
  • Innovation and experimentation: Identify and assess opportunities to improve the product, challenge existing approaches and use prototypes, pilots and testing to validate ideas and inform decisions.

Maintain knowledge of AI and emerging technologies and identify appropriate opportunities to apply them safely and responsibly.
  • Product performance: Define measures of success and monitor customer, product, operational and commercial performance. Use evidence to identify improvements and support prioritisation and investment decisions.
  • Communication and stakeholder management: Communicate product direction, priorities, value and progress clearly to different audiences. Work collaboratively with local and global teams, senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers to support effective decision-making and delivery.
  • Ownership and adaptability: Take responsibility for product outcomes, identify and communicate risks, follow through on agreed actions, develop new skills and adapt ways of working as customer and business needs change.
