Job summary

CSIRO's Library Collections team in Black Mountain, ACT is seeking a Library Collections and Digitisation Specialist to manage physical and digitised collections, support inter-library loan, and deliver high-quality library services within a collaborative team.

You will work under direction to prepare materials for repository, oversee collection retrieval and maintenance, and contribute to training and guideline documentation, enabling researchers to access essential information.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Librarianship or Information Management or equivalent.
• Experience in library collections management and maintenance.
• Experience with document delivery management systems and Alma.
• Experience with materials preparation and digital image capture, processing and QA.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and following procedures.
• Understanding of services for physical libraries.

Responsibilities

• Undertake collection retrieval, maintenance and end processing of physical acquisitions.
• Provide access to Library collections via inter-library loan and fulfil requests.
• Prepare CSIRO publications for repository with QA checks.
• Maintain clear communication with library users regarding requests.
• Contribute to Black Mountain Library onsite services and programs.
• Contribute to on-the-job training and documentation for staff.
