Rising Sun Pictures Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled VFX compositor for a short-term contract, ideally based in Adelaide or Brisbane, with possible remote work within Australia. The role focuses on painting, texture work, and environment integration for feature production pipelines.

You will work on photo-real matte paintings, texture builds, and colour grading, coordinating with departments to deliver robust, optimized assets for review and approval. Immediate start for a 3-month engagement.

Formación

• Proficiency in visual effects software and compositing workflows.
• Experience with texture painting and environment integration in a production pipeline.
• Understanding of colour management and review processes in VFX pipelines.
• Ability to work across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.

Job Description

This a short term (3 month) contract with an immediate start. As such, we will be unable to consider applicants who are not based within Australia, or do not already hold valid working rights. The role will ideally be based in either our Adelaide or Brisbane studios, but remote work may be considered within Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Paint photo-real matte paintings and texture maps to brief
• Build textures that integrate into the environment pipeline
• Composite matte paintings against plate for review
• Grade and manage colour per RSP's pipeline
• Optimise paintings for file size and render performance
• Update leads on progress, blockers and risks

Skills and Experience

• Advanced Photoshop
• Working Nuke skills
• 2.5D camera projection
• End-to-end VFX pipeline knowledge, including handovers between departments
• Strong composition and attention to detail
• Cross-platform: Linux, Mac, Windows
