Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Group Leader – Digital Engineering & BIM in Victoria to lead the Digital Engineering team and provide BIM leadership across major water infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Water Business Leader – Victoria, the role combines people leadership, business growth, and technical digital delivery.

You will mentor a high-performing team, manage utilisation and recruitment, and drive BEPs, information delivery, and digital strategy across projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Digital Engineering, BIM, design delivery, or infrastructure consulting.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
• Strong understanding and practical application of BIM management principles and ISO 19650.
• Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing and managing Digital Execution Plans and associated deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience leading model coordination and federated model review processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as BIM Manager and Digital Lead on major water infrastructure projects.
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Information Delivery Plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary model coordination and federated model reviews.
• Establish BIM workflows, governance and QA processes.
• Ensure compliance with BIM requirements and ISO 19650 principles.
• Drive adoption of digital engineering best practice and innovation.
• Manage Common Data Environments (Forma, ProjectWise, etc.).
• Mentor engineers and BIM coordinators in digital workflows.
