Job summary

AECOM seeks a Digital BIM Lead - Building Services to join the National Building Engineering team. The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or other AECOM offices in Australia and supports hybrid work arrangements.

You will lead BIM execution planning, drive digital coordination, mentor project teams and ensure consistent quality across diverse projects, including Defence, Health, Education and more.

Qualifications

• Proven BIM coordination and digital delivery experience in construction or infra.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of Revizto and Navisworks.

Due to strategic growth, we are seeking a Digital BIM Lead - Building Services to join our National Building Engineering team.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other AECOM offices in Australia.

• Lead BIM execution planning and digital coordination across Building Services projects, embedding consistent standards and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct clash detection and model coordination processes, upholding BIM standards and ISO19650 principles across design and construction phases.
• Guide the evaluation and implementation of digital tools and emerging technology, driving improved efficiency and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project-based BIM teams, ensuring consistent quality and coordination outcomes regardless of project scale.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants, aligning digital delivery with broader project and client objectives.
• Work across key sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Sport & Culture, Transit and Building projects.

The qualities that help you thrive

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

• Relevant technical qualifications or industry experience in Building Services, with a background in mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines highly regarded.
• Proven experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of coordination platforms such as Revizto and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Given the nature of some projects, Australian Citizenship is preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.
