Job summary

Vivir Healthcare in Canberra is seeking a qualified Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition services across residential aged care facilities, the community, and retirement villages. You will conduct nutrition assessments and contribute to care plans.

Work closely with residents, clinical and kitchen staff, lead education sessions, document in line with care processes, and support quality nutrition outcomes. A supportive supervisory framework and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Dietetics are required and DA A membership is preferred.
• DAA membership with Provisional or Full APD status is expected.
• Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain it.
• Flu and COVID vaccination certificates or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Advocate Vivir Core Values in daily practice.
• Complete nutrition assessments for clients with varied health conditions.
• Provide nutrition support for those at risk of malnutrition or swallowing difficulties.
• Develop evidence-based, client-centered nutrition goals and plans.
• Document care processes in line with requirements and timelines.
• Build professional relationships to support client care across organisations.
• Lead group education sessions for residents and staff.
• Review seasonal menus to ensure nutritional adequacy.
