Job summary

SA Health is seeking a nutrition professional to provide evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for inpatients and outpatients across Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor care plans to each patient’s clinical and personal needs.

The role involves contributing to audits, developing dietetic services, and supervising students within the team.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for Dietitians Australia.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and develop individualised care plans.
• Experience with quality improvement activities and clinical audits is desirable.

Providing evidence-based nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to inpatients and outpatients across relevant clinical areas within Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans that reflect each patient's clinical and personal needs.
• Contributing to quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and the ongoing development of dietetic services within NALHN.
• Supporting student supervision and professional development within the wider multidisciplinary team.

What you need

• In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships.
• An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
• Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership with Dietitians Australia.
