Job summary

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a part-time Dietitian to join the Allied Health team within the Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division. The role is based in Adelaide, with a contract through to 12 September 2027.

You will provide patient-centred nutrition care across inpatient and outpatient services, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to ongoing service development and research. Salary packaging and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with eligibility for Dietitians Australia membership.
• Clinical dietetics experience in hospital settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description

The Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division is seeking a skilled Dietitian to join the Allied Health team within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) on a part-time basis.

This is an opportunity to provide meaningful, patient-centred nutrition care in a busy healthcare environment, with a contract through to 12 September 2027.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing evidence-based nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to inpatients and outpatients across relevant clinical areas within Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans that reflect each patient's clinical and personal needs
• Contributing to quality improvement activities, clinical audits, and the ongoing development of dietetic services within NALHN

About the Candidate

• Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligibility for membership with Dietitians Australia
• Demonstrated experience in clinical dietetics, with competence in acute, subacute and/ or community health settings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to SA Health's values of care, excellence, integrity, and respect in all patient and team interactions
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively in a hospital environment
• Current national police clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement

To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate Degree of equivalent qualification which entitles eligibility for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA).
