Job summary

Business Nest in Victoria is seeking a skilled automotive technician to service and maintain heavy vehicles and machinery. You will diagnose faults, dismantle and replace faulty parts, and perform scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable operation on clients’ fleets.

The role requires a trade certificate with at least 2 years in the mechanical industry and entails coordinating with drivers and management while ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Must hold a trade certificate or qualification in Automotive Mechanical trade.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the mechanical industry.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance on all heavy vehicle, heavy machinery & equipment.
• Diagnose faults in heavy vehicle,
• Dismantling and removing faulty parts,
• Replacing and repairing defective parts,
• Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services,
• Repairing and replacing transmissions, steering, braking systems and other vehicle parts and components
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, drivers and management
• Document all repairs, perform repairs to manufacturers specifications
• Carry out repairs in accordance with job sheet
• Perform final checks on vehicles
• Follow occupational health & safety requirements.
