Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Wetherill Park, NSW, is seeking a Diesel Technician to overhaul, repair and service mid‑ to high‑horsepower rail engines in a service workshop under supervision.

You will diagnose, rebuild, and recondition engines, while maintaining a clean work area and accurate documentation. The role requires apprentice-trained certification and NSW certification, with potential relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent.
• Basic level workshop or field service experience.
• Basic knowledge of engine products.
• Heavy vehicle experience preferred.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience preferred.
• HR License preferred.
• Must be certified to work in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products.
• Diagnose and repair engines.
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and engine components.
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
• Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
• Assist with completion of required documentation (work completed docs, timesheets, warranty claims, quality forms) via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.
