Job summary
Nova Smash Repairs Pty Ltd in East Perth is seeking a skilled Diesel Motor Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines in heavy mining equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform routine servicing, and overhaul engines to keep mining operations running.
The role demands strong fault-finding abilities, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A trade qualification and a valid C class license are preferred, with additional certifications
Qualifications
- Trade or equivalent qualification preferred for this role.
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems is required.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose engine, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines as needed.
- Keep accurate records of work and parts used.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to plan repairs and PMs.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company standards.
- Assist with parts inventory and tools management.
- Contribute to maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns with prioritised tasks.
