Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective engine components, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, steering and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct engine tune-ups and performance testing.
• Use diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment to identify faults.
• Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions and other components.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Provide maintenance recommendations and scheduling.
