Qube Rockingham Depot is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our established team. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on transport fleet, primarily Volvo Trucks, and ensure documentation is accurate for the maintenance planner.

Qualifications

• Must have Volvo truck experience (highly desirable).
• Current Trade Certificate.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (preventative maintenance).
• Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance).
• Attend to, rectify and report equipment breakdowns.
• Complete mechanical works as per OEM recommendations.
• Submit all documentation to maintenance planner.
• Assist in identifying maintenance opportunities for improvement.
• Liaise with supervisor and leading hands to plan major inspections and repairs.

What's the role?

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanicto join the well-established Qube team Rockingham Depot.

• Working on Transport Fleet Predominately Volvo Trucks
• Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and maintenance planner.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and leading hand
• Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
• Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer
• Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the maintenance planner for record keeping
• Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement
• Liaise with workshop supervisor and leading hands to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled

What are we offering?

• Monday – Friday, permanent full-time
• $54.00 p/h + super on 38 hours worked

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

• They must have Volvo truck experience is a highly desirable.
• Current Trade Certificate.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills, coupled with an ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels are important.
• Ability to work safely, uphold safe practices and procedures in a regulated environment, in a small team environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
