Job summary

TRS Resourcing is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a stable, full-time operation servicing prime movers across Melbourne’s North Suburbs. You’ll work in a large, well-equipped workshop with modern fleet and ongoing workloads.

This hands-on role offers strong earning potential, job security and a clear path to long-term employment, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Applicants should have heavy vehicle qualifications and Australian work rights.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• Proven experience with prime movers, trailers, or heavy vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team.
• Based in Victoria (Melbourne) or willing to relocate.
• Full Australian work rights.
• Contactable references from at least two previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy prime movers.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out corrective repairs.
• Major mechanical work, including component rebuilds.
• Working autonomously or as part of a skilled maintenance team.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
