Job summary

Adaptalift Group is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic/HD Fitter to join our NSW team in Seven Hills. You’ll work Monday to Friday, with overtime potential, performing fault finding, servicing and on-site repairs on heavy equipment across NSW.

Ideal candidates have solid experience in heavy machinery, hydraulics and diagnostics, plus a mechanical trade qualification and full Australian work rights. Pre-employment medical and a driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Diesel Mechanic/HD Fitter in heavy equipment (transport, construction, mining).
• Strong servicing, diagnostics and hydraulics knowledge.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks with mechanical aptitude.
• Commitment to safe work practices and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, troubleshooting and solving breakdowns.
• Undertaking scheduled maintenance and servicing.
• Utilising technical skills to diagnose and fix issues.
• Visiting customer sites to provide high‑quality, safe service.
• Collaborating with team on large overhauls and commissions.

looks after customer and company-owned equipment and provides breakdown services, fault finding and preventive and routine maintenance services on this equipment across NSW.

We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitterwith experience working on heavy equipment, mobile plant, access equipment or similar to join our team in Seven Hills.

What will you be doing?

• Fault finding, troubleshooting & problem-solving breakdowns
• Undertaking scheduled maintenance and servicing

Here's what it takes:

• Solid experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or HD Fitter within the Heavy Equipment industry (Transport, Construction, Agricultural Machinery or Mining)
• Solid background in servicing, diagnostics and hydraulics
• Ability to carry out a physical role with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• A strong commitment to safe work practices and good communication skills
• You hold a current Driver Licence
• Mechanical Trade Qualification such as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or similar
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to undergo apre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
