Intersales in Wagga Wagga, NSW, is seeking a permanent full-time Diesel Mechanic / Ag Service Technician to join our skilled team. You will service and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery, with opportunities to specialise in tractors, headers, sprayers, or electronics, depending on your interests.

Qualifications

• Current Diesel or Plant Mechanic Certificate – required.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Capable of providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Professional, motivated, team player with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repair, testing and maintenance of machinery per Australian Industry Standards.
• Apply knowledge to repairs and services to meet quality and cost expectations; complete jobs to completion.
• Inspect machinery to identify faults and select correct parts; consult manuals when required.
• Ensure work is documented for invoicing; write detailed repairs in the service report book.
• Test drive machines to verify problems are fixed and provide supervision to apprentices.

The Opportunity

Our team of highlyskilled technicians service and repair a large variety of agricultural machinery. Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a range of tasks including service, repair, test and maintenance of machinery in accordance with the Australian Industry Standards and Practice
• Apply knowledge and skills to make repairs and undertake services to benchmark industry standards and to company expectations on quality and cost-effectiveness, maximising profitability to the business. Once assigned, the technician is responsible for the job to completion
• Inspect machinery or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects and apply knowledge and skills to select the correct part to complete the repair. Consult relevant technical manuals, both paper and electronic, when required
• Ensure that work is completed efficiently and that all information is available to facilitate invoicing being performed in a timely and accurate manner. A service report book is provided to record all necessary information including, but not limited to, the serial number and service hours of the machine. A detailed description of the repairs carried out is to be written in this report book and a copy is presented to workshop office on completion of job. A customer signature from the owner or operator must be obtained in the service report book
• Test drive machines to ensure the problem has been identified and/or fixed
• Assist new and existing apprentices. Help further their skills and knowledge, and provide supervision
