Job summary

Lindsay Australia Ltd in Coffs Harbour is seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our busy workshop. You will service and repair a modern fleet using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, working Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Mechanical Trade qualification.
• Proven experience with heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic capabilities on heavy equipment.
• Safety-conscious with quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a fleet of prime movers, rigid trucks and trailers.
• Perform major repairs, mid-life overhauls and servicing.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and lead by example.
• Accurately complete maintenance and repair documentation.

We're looking for a trade-qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team at our Coffs Harbour workshop.

Working Monday to Friday, you'll maintain a modern fleet using state-of-the-art equipment and the latest diagnostic technology.

What You'll Do:

Reliability is the cornerstone in transport, you will be an essential part ensuring our fleet is maintained tothe highest level:

• Vehicle maintenance and repair - repairing, replacing and diagnosing issues across a variety of fleet vehicles (prime movers, rigids and trailers)
• Perform major repairs including midlife's and brake/bearing overhauls and servicing
• Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture
• Accurately completing maintenance and repair documentation.

What You'll Bring:

• Mechanical Trade qualification
• Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
• Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
• Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, DAF, Cummins, BPW
• Basic computer skills
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic
